概述
该数据集包含已标注的苏木精和伊红(H&E)图像,这是组织病理学中最常用的图像类型之一。这些图像是从癌症基因组图谱(TCGA)中有关七个器官的数字化组织样本的30张完整幻灯片图像(WSI)中裁剪而成。此外,为了最大程度地呈现细胞核的外观变化,每位患者仅使用一个WSI。
这些图像来自18家不同的医院,不同实验室的染色实践存在差别,这也是造成外观差异的另一个因素。每个裁剪图像的大小均为1000×1000像素,均是从组织的密集区域裁剪而来。为了进一步确保细胞核外观的丰富性,该数据集涵盖了七个不同的器官,分别是乳房,肝脏,肾脏,前列腺,膀胱,结肠和胃,包括良性和病变组织样本。
这30张经裁剪的图像包含了超过21000个由医学专家标准和验证的细胞核。研究人员可以将该数据集用于适用于各种细胞核类型的广义细胞核分割技术的开发和基准测试。
数字显微组织图像中的细胞核分割有助于提取高质量的特征,以便进行细胞核形态测定和计算病理学中的其他分析。细胞核的形态和外观特征(例如密度、细胞核与细胞质之比、大小和形状特征以及多态性等)不仅有助于评估癌症级别,而且有助于预测治疗效果。研究社区可以将该数据集用于适用于各种细胞核类型的广义核分割技术的开发和基准测试。
